Our chosen charities for Christmas 2018

Wight Computers are committed to supporting local charities and non-profit organisations on the Isle of Wight. As well as offering discounts on all our IT services for charities, we make regular donations throughout the year.

This year for Christmas, each member of the team has selected a local cause of their choice to receive a £75 donation.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers whose valued business throughout 2018, helps make it possible for us to give back to community charities on the Island.

Ben’s chosen cause – Ability Dogs 4 Young People

Ability Dogs 4 Young people help to open up opportunities and independence for disabled young people, which may not be available without the dogs help and the people who train them from puppies.

Ben Sollis, IT Support Engineer

John’s chosen cause – Isle of Wight Pride

Christmas is a time to be around family & loved ones. This can prove tough for people that face discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. IOW Pride work to raise awareness about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Jamie’s chosen cause – Bracken’s Dog Rescue

Every dog should have a family and home where they can live, especially around the Winter time! Bracken’s Dog Rescue go out of their way to ensure that dogs have a safe place to live and are well looked after in their animal shelter in Newport, instead of getting put down.

Andrew’s chosen cause – The Pop Up Soup Kitchen

The Pop Up Soup Kitchen and their recently opened restaurant Waste Not Want Not help a lot of people struggling with poverty and homelessness on the Island. Trevor and his team are fantastic.
