Operations Director.
For all your non-technical needs!
Here to do all the things Andrew doesn’t have time for.
Kate joined the team…
in 2026, after thirteen years working as a primary school teacher and senior leader.
IT credentials:
Not needed – I’ve got my own in-house IT team!
Best thing about working at Wight Computers:
Discovering the diverse range of businesses we have on the Isle of Wight! I have lived here all my life and never knew about some of the specialist companies that are working on the Island.
Most often heard to say:
“Tom, those white trainers aren’t uniform!” (once a teacher, always a teacher).
Top tech tip:
Marry an IT consultant! But if that’s not possible, learn a few keyboard shortcuts for functions you use all the time – such a time saver!
This or that?
Tea or coffee? Coffee in the morning, and tea in the afternoon. So long as I’ve got a hot drink, I’m happy!
Early bird or night owl? Early bird – I’m usually up early walking my dog.
Savoury or sweet? Savoury.
Summer or winter? A tough one, but my favourite type of weather has got to be one of those winter’s days where it’s cold but there’s bright sunshine too.
City or country? I love a trip to a city, but nothing beats that feeling of being back on the ferry to the island after time away.
Cats or dogs? Dogs – Andrew laughs at me because I say hello to all the dogs rather than the owners when we are out on walks.
